Watch Again – Amy Winehouse
![]()

So just how Jewish is Amy Winehouse? The Jewish Chronicle asked the same question in a recent article and you’ll find a comprehensive and slightly tongue-in-cheek write-up on the topic on the Lilith blog too. We’re excited by reports that her next album could be a collection of Jewish holiday tunes! Perhaps a chance to show the links between jazz and traditional Eastern European Jewish Klezmer?
We’ll have to leave THAT topic for later. Right now, here’s something more along the usual UNusual lines from the Beehived One.
The BBC website has this to say. “Hot from her triumph at the Brits where she won Best British Female in a tough field, Britain’s best selling albums artist of 2007, Amy Winehouse sashays into Bayswater’s illustrious Porchester Hall (in London, UK) for a one-off concert featuring songs from her hit album, Back to Black.
“Including performing hit and singles from her albums such as Rehab and You Know I’m No Good, and more from 2003′s Mercury Music Prize-nominated album, Frank.”
UK visitors can tune-in to the BBC’s iPlayer for the next 7-days, to watch again a live BBC Session, from Amy Winehouse… Click HERE to watch – only until 18th June 2009
