Salaam Shalom Arts Festival 2016

Salaam Shalom have been awarded Arts Council funding to deliver a Muslim and Jewish Arts Festival in Bristol, May-June 2016. It will include the work of both Local and National Muslim and Jewish Artists.

The festival is:

Salaam Shalom’s Arts Festival aims to;

• Provide a positive initiative to counter the overwhelming negative media on Muslims and Jews reported globally.
• Present a statement of connection and esteem between Muslims and Jews in the UK, sending a positive message to all communities across Bristol and beyond.
• Create a space to further understanding and tolerance between Muslims, Jews and wider communities in Bristol and visitors to the City.
• Enable us to continue building this new audience and engage with new people we hadn’t before.
