We are seeking confident freelance educators, trainers and workshop facilitators with experience of working with children and young people. Projects are funding dependent, so ability to take on freelance contracts is essential.
Interest and knowledge of different communities, cultures and religions an advantage. A shared belief in our vision, aims and values as an organisation is essential. You do not need to be Muslim or Jewish.
DBS check will be required for successful applicants.

‘During my four week volunteer placement at Salaam Shalom, I worked across a number of varied projects and gained a wide range of new skills and knowledge. It was an informative and inspiring experience, and a pleasure to work in such a fun and welcoming environment. Rebecca and Shabana gave me loads of support when working on tasks which were new to me and were always keen to use and build on the skills and knowledge I already had, so overall I felt like I made a valuable contribution to Salaam Shalom’s work. Tasks included research and planning for a future project, learning to use new computer programs for sound editing and creating videos, and updating the website and social media sites. It was fantastic to learn more about the day-to-day workings of a dynamic small charity, and to meet some of the amazing people involved in everything Salaam Shalom is doing.
